ACS Welcomes Portman Group Recommendations on Code of Practice
ACS has responded to a Portman Group consultation on the Code of Practice on the responsible marketing of alcohol, welcoming proposals to extend the remit of the Code.
The consultation proposes a number of measures to simplify the code. These include extending its remit to everything not covered by the Alcohol Standards Agency and Trading Standards, extending rules to ban promotions linked to all sexual activity and amending the code to ban images of people under 25 from drinks, their packaging or promotions.
